Happy Halloween (Jumping Spider)

It's that time of year again (already!), Halloween, when we try our best to instill fear into hearts of men. OK so I'm being a bit dramatic. Anyhow, here's my best attempt at making you squirm. Enjoy this Jumping Spider eating a fly...up close! Fly, It's What's For Dinner

I found this Jumping Spider in my neighborhood. I was walking my dogs when this plant with a bunch of flies buzzing around caught my attention. I quickly noticed that one of the flies had fallen victim to this spider - as it no doubt pounced on the unsuspecting fly with its neon green fangs moments before. I ran the dogs home and swapped them out for the camera. Here's the result with a macro lens. Such a cool event to watch it eat this fly!
