Marty & Nellie Los Angeles Wedding
What a privilege it was to shoot Marty and Nellie's wedding last week! They eloped with a small outdoor ceremony of their closest family and friends at The Los Angeles River Center and Gardens. They are such cool people and we worked great together! Here's a taste of their wedding day. Enjoy!
We started the day at the legendary Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
This is a cool side story that I have to tell! Nellie said that when she got in the room they had white sheets on the bed - that just wouldn't do. She ran out and found some sheets that matched her color and replaced them on the bed. I gotta tell, it looked pretty awesome with the blue. We had to shoot the dress there...
They incorporated the old Celtic wedding tradition of "hand fastening" into their ceremony (which is where the term "tying the knot" originated). This is their "unity rope".
Nellie and her sheets
The Biltmore in all of its vintage gaudiness is very photogenic.
Hey, Marty cleans up pretty good!
The L.A. River Center and Gardens is even more photogenic.
I love an emotional ceremony!
Tying the knot!
And top off the day with an extravagant exit in a 1957 Bentley!
Congratulations to Marty and Nellie!!!
