Recently Emily, Austin and I went down to the Dana Point harbor for their engagement photos. They have a passionate connection to the ocean. Emily even volunteers at the Ocean Institute where they will have their wedding next year. And of course it will be ocean themed. I'm pretty dang excited about their upcoming wedding which will have open exhibits at the Ocean Institute including touch tanks and the like.

Read MoreI love shooting engagement proposals. It's obviously a surprise, it presents certain challenges and it's always a joyous event. I was excited when Matt asked me to photograph his engagement proposal to Danielle. It was a gorgeous afternoon in Laguna Beach, Ca. Breezy, about 70 degrees and clear. Matt led Danielle down to the beach with champagne in tow to "watch the sunset".
