Matt & Danielle Engagement Proposal - Laguna Beach
I love shooting engagement proposals. It's obviously a surprise, it presents certain challenges and it's always a joyous event. I was excited when Matt asked me to photograph his engagement proposal to Danielle. It was a gorgeous afternoon in Laguna Beach, Ca. Breezy, about 70 degrees and clear. Matt led Danielle down to the beach with champagne in tow to "watch the sunset".
Matt's plan was to drop the engagement ring in Danielle's champagne glass.
"Hmmm, what's that in your glass?"
Moment of truth...
When Matt popped the big question Danielle's expression is exactly why I love this!
He asked, she said yes.
Time to fish the ring out of the champagne.
That was my cue to jump out of the bushes (metaphorically speaking).
Danielle said she didn't expect it but knew Matt was acting weird. I guess us guys can't hide our nervousness when it comes to that...
Matt was nervous enough to break one of the champagne glasses before he even poured it. So you gotta make do...
Check out that rock.
After it all sank in we ventured down to the beach for some photos at sunset.
Their "signature face". Perfect for the occasion!
They're such a great couple - so present and just genuinely happy. I mostly just followed them around and let them do their thing.
Perfect Evening for a walk on the beach.
This really speaks to their personalities I think. This should be a hell of a fun wedding.
Congratulations to Matt and Danielle on their engagement!
